Bad luck.

I broke a mirror, a big mirror. Not totally big, but big enough to give me 14 years of bad luck instead of 7. Here's the end result of the story:
Here's the story: I got back from Christmas break and had to de-Christmas my apartment. I don't know how but for some reason I have a lot of Christmas decorations. surprise! While taking down the Christmas decorations I went around collecting all the ribbon, we had some ribbon on the mirror which I took off and assumed that the push pins were holding the ribbon up. FALSE!! The mirror was being held up by the push pins, what?! Who does that???? Seriously, a full size mirror being hung up by pushpins?? And just so you know, there were nails there. So basically I got to clean up little glass pieces while cutting my hand and then got to vacuum and make the downstairs neighbors mad.
So hopefully the bad luck won't be too bad!

I am a sucker...

for chick flicks. I used to go through every sad movie without even feeling bad. not anymore. My dear Auntie Cathy let me borrow this book: The Last Song By: Nicholas Sparks Probably on of the best books EVER. I never knew I could cry so much over a book. Last Sunday I could not let go of this book, I read it all in one day. Jackie gave me some "alone time" because I guess I was sniffling or something. Well, once she left I was bawling. I couldn't even believe that I cried so much. But I didn't feel so bad after roommate after roommate read it and shed a few tears. Ok, maybe just one tear, if that. BUT, if anyone wants a good movie, go see this one ^. I love it, it was pretty funny and very cute!! Next up on my reading list: Dear John By: Nicholas Sparks It was sitting on my desk when I got home. My roommates and I are going through some reading phase. It's crazy, everyone is constantly reading and switching books. (Don't worry, I'm still going to the library to read the boring books too!) So long for now, time to go start my new book!!

A Mess.

I have to say that I don't think I have ever been this unorganized in my life. Today I have managed to space a quiz, forget to make my lunch and forgot to do 3 extra credit points for homework. What the heck? Since when did I do that? Soon I'll come back with my 2010 goals, that is if i ever get organized again. But don't worry, the library and I have a set date tonight.

A few things

A few weeks ago before finals Jackie and I decided to go snowboarding. I learned that no matter how hard I, or my car, tries we were just not meant to drive in the snow. I will never try again. As soon as we made it to a turning point, we turned around and went home, didn't even get out of the car. I tried to smile...I couldn't. But on the brighter side of things, this was what was waiting in my room when I got home for Christmas break(which was not long enough). I loved the Texas tree! And I even got ornaments to decorate one of my trees like this one for next year!!
However, the bad news about Christmas break was the snow followed me. I'll admit it was pretty fun to be able to play with all my fambam in the snow, but it was still cold! & I didn't have any of my snow clothes. On Christmas morning my dad and I decided to go outside and see the damage from all the snow on Christmas Eve. There was A LOT of snow! We ended up just driving down to the lake and doing donuts, it was fun! My dad got a little too much confidence and ended up getting stuck in a ditch. But, no worries a nice man came and got us out and said his truck was stuck too. Yah, you think?! That truck would not budge until some big ol' yellow tractor/truck/snow plow thing came and just picked it up. It was crazy!
And finally, this is one of the projects I did when I was home. I couldn't think of anything to give Jackie for her birthday until I had t-3 days until I got back to Provo. I have this wonderful flannel blanket that I got from when I graduated HS. I love it and use it all the time. But whenever I'm gone and it's cold, Jackie always steals it and puts it on her bed, so I decided to make her one. Thanks to my mom we were able to put it together extremely fast. I set it up in the living room and had all the Christie boys help me tie it, we pretty much finished it in one day! She said she likes it-and it's been on the top of her bed everyday. Success!!
Soon (hopefully) I will be blogging my 2010 resolutions so maybe I'll have more motivation to keep them!!

Formatting

Does anyone know why my blog doesn't come out with line breaks between paragraphs?? In the preview it looks normal but then when I publish it it doesn't, it's starting to get frustrating!

Oh Life

The holidays are over. I really like this picture!! Sometimes I really hate this, like right now. Being home was amazing. I loved playing, sewing, watching tv, etc. And now I'm in school. It's been an extremely overwhelming week. UNTIL I went to my religion class-History of the Living prophets. This is what my professor decided to show today. Coincidence? I think not. So here I am to go back into the whirlwind of school trying to learn to love my major again even though I currently am not loving my classes. So here's to hoping for a good year!

AMAZING!!!

Get ready. This is by far the best story EVER (that I will ever have to tell!) So for those of you that don't know, I love earrings. I'm obsessed with them and I am constantly looking for new ones. But for the time being I have this one favorite pair of earrings. Cute right?? So one day after class I was walking home with my BFF Bre. When I got home I realized my earring was gone, I was so so sad. But I had no idea where I lost it so I just figured I would need to find another pair of earrings that I love. So forgot about losing my earring, had Thanksgiving Break, partied, etc. I park in the same place everyday because of work(a blog will come soon about that). So about a week and a half later I'm walking back to my car after class with Jackie, who happened to be there when I was crying about losing my earring. So I'm at my car which happened to be parked by a light post. I looked down and on the light pool post someone had put my earring there!!! Can you believe it?! I was thrilled, I almost cried. I love BYU and the fact that people there are so generous to pick up an earring and put it up so some poor soul can be reconnected. So stranger who placed my earring on that light pole post- Thank you!! Great story, right?!
